Our PALKLIN® derusters easily remove any rust, iron black oxides, and welding scales that have formed on metal substrate surfaces. While degreasers can efficiently clean the metal surface from foreign oils and dirt, existing rust can often elude their effects. PALKLIN® derusters complement FINE CLEANER® degreasers perfectly to finish the full surface cleaning process.

The strength of the recommended PALKLIN® deruster solution will depend on the condition and severity of your substrate surface, but generally are classified as either Phosphoric or Hydrochloric based.
- PALKLIN® Phosphoric based derusters remove rust and also form a light phosphate coating on the metal surface in the process.
- PALKLIN® Hydrochloric based derusters will completely remove rust and leave behind the bare metal surface.
